Miss C’s Senior Portraits

I love working with graduating seniors! They have so much talent but also so much potential ahead of them in their lives. Being able to capture a bit of their personality in their lives and their future goals is amazing! This girl is no different. She is already working in the field of her choice as my husband Sound Editing Assistant! She is a big fan of ballroom dance, theater and the technical side of theater (the Behind the Scenes)! So what better place to capture a bit of what makes her up, than to start on the stage!

Miss A’s Senior Portraits

It was such an fun experience to be able to shoot this amazing gal’s Senior Portraits. For one, she’s the sister of my last bride! So that was super fun to reconnect with this great family! And for another, this girl had already started acquiring her certificate for Surgical Technology from Salt Lake Community College! Anytime I hear of a High Schooler getting a jump start on their further education I can’t help but throw my hands in the air! And then face palm, cause I didn’t do that when I was younger! lol This rising generation is amazing and I’m so elated to be able to capture their brilliance!

I love that I get to shoot a variety of moments in the lives of my clients! Graduating Seniors are embarking on a  whole new life and their portraits are not only to capture that moment in time before they head off into the big world, but also to showcase what makes them up and all they’ve accomplished! This shoot was incredible, cause this girl is incredible! She loves tennis, so that was definitely something we wanted to showcase! I am so excited about these images and have been dying to share these!

Senior Model Ambassadors

February 22, 2016 at 10:41 pm

I am in search of my 2016 Senior Ambassadors!! What does this entail?! No, you don’t have to be a super model…just be an outgoing, fun-spirited person! If you are a 2016 Graduating Senior, it’s some very easy and fun work! Basically, I shoot your Senior Portraits for free, give you some Rep cards and you promote Zion’s Studio to your friends. Throughout the year, you will see your portraits on marketing materials, social media and anywhere else I think your images would look great! Most likely the conversation will happen on it’s own, because they will all see your AMAZING portraits that I did for you! *wink, wink* So there’s no awkwardness in having to bring it up! The more of your referrals that complete their sessions with me, the more you will earn in Gift Certificates to local merchants or Visa Gift Cards! Score! (Here’s some fine print for ya: Referrals Bonuses start after 2 completed referral sessions and may not exceed $600)

I know you all are waving your hands, saying “Pick me! Pick me!” and I’d love to pick all of you…cause I’m just that nice! But I do have a limited amount of Ambassador Positions. You will need to fill out the application form below before March 31st. It is then, that I will finalize who my Senior Ambassadors will be. In the Message section please tell me which High School you are going to and why you should be chosen to represent Zion’s Studio. The geographic area of High Schools is limited to Salt Lake and Utah Counties. Please do not apply if you are currently representing another photography studio.

****Form has been removed because the Program is currently closed for 2016 graduates. Please follow me to find out when applications open up for the 2017 Senior Ambassadors program in late 2016!****

Miss A’s Senior Portraits

What’s a girl to do who has a photographer for an aunt!? She’d better grin and bear it! This post has been in the making for months. We started taking A’s senior pictures out in San Diego at Balboa Park back in December. Many of those turned out super cute but traveling sure does a number on a graduation gown. It was definitely a learning experience to make sure to take a steamer or something! So we didn’t end up with as much as we wanted to. We decided to have a second shoot in June in New Mexico where they live! Plus, I feel that Senior Portraits should be very personal to the graduate. I want them to be surrounded by things that make them who they are; things and places that define their world and show off what makes them so FABULOUS! This girl is quite amazing! Earlier this summer she attended a preview for the Naval Academy! There are only a few chosen from each location and she was selected! I love this girl so very much and I’m proud of her for all her accomplishments and goals!

Congratulations Miss A! I know you’ll go far! Love you Loads!

It’s another Throwback Thursday!

April 24, 2014 at 2:23 pm

2014 Graduation time is quickly approaching and in honor of that, I thought I’d make my Throwback a shout out to a special grad! This is my niece who graduated a couple years back. Yes, that’s right this Auntie has forgotten the year she’s graduated! Cut me some slack! I blame it on the baby who wakes me up multiple times a night still! She graduated from Cleveland High in New Mexico and took these at one of our trips to visit! I am proud of this girl and all that she is accomplishing in life and the dedication she is putting towards college at this time!
